Program Overview

Cairns Netball Association’s Seniors Competition provides opportunities for players to compete in a structured, team-based environment across a range of skill levels. Whether you’re continuing from junior netball, returning to the game, or looking for a more social competition, the senior pathway offers a place for everyone. Players compete as part of a team, with weekly matches and optional training depending on team and club structure. Divisions may also be graded to ensure teams are matched based on skill and experience.

Winter and Summer Competitions Summer Competition (subject to scheduling)
Training days and times are set by individual clubs.

How It Works

Team-Based Competition

Players can:

  • Join an existing team
  • Register as an individual and be placed into a team (subject to availability)

Teams may be organised through clubs, workplaces, or social groups.

Weekly Games

  • One scheduled match per week
  • Played in the evening (typically mid-week)
  • Held at Cairns Netball Association courts

Matches are played under official netball rules in a structured competition format with umpires and scoring.

Training (Optional)

Training is not mandatory in senior competition but may be organised by individual teams.

For competitive teams, training may focus on:

  • Game strategy
  • Team combinations
  • Fitness and conditioning
